About Us
Hi, I'm Sam Hanna. I'll be more than your counsellor. I'll be your guide, advocate and partner on your journey to self-improvement. With a wealth of experience across various industries, I bring a unique perspective to counselling. Specialising in relationships, people facing chronic addiction and mental health issues, my role is to empower them to lead lives of purpose and dignity.
I am deeply passionate about working in the counselling field because it offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Throughout my previous career, I consistently found myself drawn to roles that allowed me to support and uplift others, regardless of the job title I held. Whether it was through direct advice, providing a listening ear, or facilitating resources to help them overcome their challenges, the satisfaction of seeing someone move forward in their life with newfound strength and understanding was unparalleled.
This deep-rooted desire to assist, coupled with my natural empathy and strong communication skills, fuels my commitment to pursuing a career in counselling. It is not just a profession to me; it is a calling to support individuals in navigating their journeys, fostering resilience, and promoting mental and emotional wellbeing.
Building on this foundation of passion and commitment, my 25 years of leading a choir have further deepened my understanding of the power of support and guidance. This experience honed my ability to recognise the unique strengths and challenges of each member, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that led to both individual and collective success. It taught me the importance of patience, encouragement, and the delicate art of motivating people to reach their full potential.
Through the highs and lows, successes and setbacks, I stood by each member, offering the support and guidance they needed to overcome obstacles and shine. This experience was not only about creating beautiful music together but also about nurturing growth, resilience, and a sense of community among the choir members. It perfectly encapsulates my dedication to helping others succeed and is a testament to the positive impact I strive to make in the counselling field.
